No Proposal on Transaction Expenses for UPI
There isn’t a proposal to levy transaction fees on Unified Funds Interface (UPI) transfers, minister of state for finance Pankaj Chaudhary advised the Lok Sabha. In a separate reply, Chaudhary stated that as on March 31, 2025, excellent unsecured retail loans of scheduled industrial banks stood at `15,08,586 crore. Their share stays modest—25% of retail loans and eight.3% of gross advances — and doesn’t pose a systemic danger to banks’ asset high quality, he added.NAVYA Scheme Launched for Adolescent Ladies
The NAVYA (Nurturing Aspirations by way of Vocational Coaching for Younger Adolescent Ladies) scheme, a joint initiative of the ability improvement and entrepreneurship ministry and the ladies and baby improvement ministry, was launched in June 2025 to empower ladies aged 16–18 in aspirational districts. The programme goals to supply them with expertise for socio-economic independence, minister of state (impartial cost) for expertise improvement Jayant Chaudhury advised the Lok Sabha on Monday.
