We’re ruled by inhibitions, besides in the case of God. We’re overcomed by diffidence when now we have to strategy a wealthy or highly effective individual for even a small favour, however in the case of the Supreme Being, we don’t really feel shy to ask Him for all the things that we would like on this world. Why can we get away with such behaviour in direction of God? It’s due to His countless kindness and mercy in direction of us, personified by Mom Goddess, stated Balaji Bhagavathar.

She turns blue, reflecting His hue, whereas His complexion transforms to Hers: this transformative fusion signifies the philosophy of ekam.

Adi Sankara’s Soundarya Lahiri encapsulates this within the 100 verses. Lahiri means waves and Her Soundarya Lahiri comes in direction of us and pushes us in direction of Him. Rendered as a Stotra on Parvati by Parameswaran, and gifted to Adi Sankara, its 41 verses present the philosophic technique to attain God and the remaining level to bhakti as a way of reaching Her and God. As Andal says in Tiruppavai, ‘Neengada selvam’ is God’s mercy. There are 9 attachments and overcoming these and reaching God is enabled by Her grace, fetched via recitation of Soundarya Lahiri .
