Johns Creek, GA, September 18, 2025: The Atlanta Chapter of Sewa Worldwide introduced collectively near 100 volunteers on Sunday, September 14, 2025, on the Cauley Creek Park for a heartfelt 9/11 Commemoration and Day of Service. The occasion honored the lives misplaced within the September 11 tragedy whereas paying tribute to the braveness and sacrifice of first responders.
The day started with a service exercise, the place volunteers created a memorial backyard as a dwelling tribute. Practically 60 crops and timber have been planted, mulch was unfold, and river rock was laid to beautify and improve the house. This backyard now stands as an emblem of remembrance, resilience, and group unity.
Following the backyard set up, the commemorative program introduced the group collectively in reflection. The ceremony opened with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Cub Scouts Pack 109, adopted by the Nationwide Anthem sung by LEAD college students. Attendees have been welcomed by Dr. Madhav Durbha, President of Sewa Atlanta, who emphasised the significance of honoring 9/11 by way of service and unity.

Mayor Professional Tem & Metropolis Council Member, Dilip Tunki of Johns Creek graced the event because the Visitor of Honor, sharing phrases of encouragement and appreciation for the volunteers’ dedication. This system closed with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Raj Radhakrishnan, Vice President of Sewa Atlanta, expressing gratitude to volunteers, group companions, and supporters.
“Via service and remembrance, we honor the sacrifice of these we misplaced and strengthen our dedication to constructing a compassionate and united group,” stated Radha Katta, Regional Venture Supervisor, Sewa Worldwide.
