Decatur, GA, Aug 4, 2025: The Decatur Guide Pageant has revealed Vedika Mehra, an illustrator and visible designer initially from India and now primarily based in Atlanta, because the winner of its 2025 Design Contest. Her vibrant art work—created in honor of the pageant’s twentieth anniversary—will function the official art work for this 12 months’s celebrations.
At its heart is an open e-book, emblematic of tales unfolding, surrounded by components of nature, stars, and joyful readers—all rendered within the pageant’s model colours. The design radiates heat, creativeness, and a celebration of group and storytelling.
Vedika is called a visible storyteller whose inspiration stems from on a regular basis life, human feelings, nostalgia, and creativeness. She holds an MFA in Illustration from SCAD Atlanta and a bachelor’s in Visible Communication. Her work has earned recognition from prestigious shops together with American Illustration, World Illustration Awards, Artistic Quarterly, Communication Arts, and Utilized Arts journal.
When not illustrating, Mehra laughs about her personal habits: “overthinking, studying, binge-watching, and over-drinking espresso.”
Organizers stated, “We’re thrilled to showcase her stunning and heartfelt design as we mark this milestone 12 months.”
The 2025 Decatur Guide Pageant will happen in downtown Decatur, Georgia, on October 3 and 4, 2025, that includes writer panels, keynote and kidnote occasions, meals, music, actions, and a Avenue Honest on Saturday, October 4, from 10 AM to five:30 PM.
